Our "Day One" branding process is your first step to a better brand and sharper focus.

Every client who has engaged in our Day One has been highly
pleased with the cascading benefits it produces.

"You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Day One is founded on creative collaboration, a discussion about “who” your organization is and how it expects to achieve its objectives – then it guides you toward building an arsenal of solutions that serves your long-term interests.

The result of this process: a clearer focus, a better brand and a steady stream of success.

SO, WHAT EXACTLY IS A “DAY ONE”?

It’s a half-day or full-day discussion that we facilitate with your key management, marketing and communications decision-makers (no more than nine in all). Here are the issues we tackle:

  • Where Are We Now? – building a framework for future action
  • What Do We Know? – taking stock of our targets, trends and brand assets
  • Where Could We Be? – criteria for success

The Day One leads to discoveries about your organization's strengths and challenges, and produces a clearly defined positioning statement.

By tapping the wisdom of your entire group, we are able to develop a positioning statement that clearly identifies:

  • Your audiences (Who are we really talking to?)
  • Your reason-for-being (What do we offer them?)
  • Your defining attributes (How do we connect with our target in a unique, branded way?)

We “boil down” all key findings into a Strategic Idea Postcard that serves as the compass or strategic map for all communications. The result is achievement of consensus on target priorities, communication tactics, message priorities, and brand personality – all of which will become part of the creative expression of your brand.

From this important first step, rapid decisions can be made about the next steps in building your brand.

The Day One. It’s a fresh start. A new beginning. And it works.
